The WBOR webcast is taken from a paired stereo input directly from the mixing board in the WBOR station to a server running Darkice-0.17.7. Darkice encodes the audio into mp3 using the lame-3.97 codec and then transmits the mp3 as a stream to the server "tug" running in the Bowdoin College data center. Tug uses Icecast2 to take the mp3 bits and store them into an m3u playlist and broadcasts this playlist to the public. Both the WBORstreamer and tug are running Debian GNU/Linux 3.1.
