Warriors

Welcome to the Warriors site!

Who are we? Warriors is a student-run group dedicated to the prevention and awareness of eating disorders on the Bowdoin campus. We are not formally trained, but we can direct concerned students to various resources on campus and provide support and advice to anyone who needs it.

When do we meet? Our meetings are held in the Women's Resource Center on Sundays at 7:30pm. We always welcome new members or any student who has questions, comments, or concerns surrounding the issues of eating disorders, disordered eating, overexercise, and body image.

What do we do? Warriors has been instrumental in bringing many speakers and performances to campus, including Andrea's Voice, The Thin Line, and Catherine Steiner-Adair. We also communicate with the counseling center, health center, and the deans' offices to discuss how eating disorders are addressed on Bowdoin's campus. Our weekly meetings also serve as a safe place to share experiences, voice concerns, or simply talk about these issues at Bowdoin.
