UPCOMING CONCERTS

• Fall Invitational Concert
The Tufts Beelzebubs and Mount Holyoke Victory Eights will be traveling to Bowdoin's campus to perform at 8:30 on Saturday, November 17th.

• Holiday Concert
Come see Ursus Verses in their final concert of the semester! UV will be performing with all five of Bowdoin's other acappella groups in a concert that will take place on Monday, December 10th, time TBD.

URSUS PREPARES FOR FALL INVITATIONAL

UV is very excited to welcome back the Tufts Beelzebubs , and to welcome for the first time the Mount Holyoke Victory Eights. Once again, Ursus has managed to bring two world renowned all-male and co-ed acappella groups to Bowdoin's campus. Ursus is proud to be showcasing songs that have never before been heard on the Bowdoin campus, as well as old favorites from their repertoire. The invitational will take place on Saturday, November 17th at 8:30 PM. The concert will be held in the Bowdoin College chapel, and Ursus Verses hopes to see you there!

Seven New UV Members
from Class of 2011

Ursus Verses is thrilled to welcome its largest group of new members ever - seven first-years - to the group. The new members, two girls and five guys, are already making their presence felt and having a positive impact on the group. The seven singers, Maryellen Hearn, Wesley Hartwell, Alex Vertrees, Leigh Brunelle, David Gruber, Max Liu, and Houston Kraft, were selected after a long and very competetive audition process. One of our new members has already performed with us as a soloist, and we look forward to long and dedicated UV careers from all of them. Congratulations!

CDS ON SALE!!

Our first CD, entitled "Reverse the Urse," was released at our invitational on April 14th. It is currently on sale at the Bowdoin Bookstore. Contact ursusverses@gmail.edu for more information. Mixed and edited by John Clark, a prominent figure in the acappella community, the CD was recorded in the spring of 2005, and features tracks from such artists as Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Dispatch, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We hope you enjoy our first of many releases to come!
