Swan Island Nature Preserve
To reach Swan Island Game Preserve, the team first goes on a short ferry ride across the Kennebec River. The team then takes a 7-9 mile loop around the island on trails and dirt roads. Dozens of deer swim to this island to spend the hunting season in safety. As a result, the team spots at least 10-15 deer on the island every year. Several wild turkeys and various other types of wildlife are also seen here.
