The International Festival, Saamelafest, is an event to celebrate
the diversity of Bowdoin Community. It intends to create an awareness
of different ethic and cultural backgrounds of the student body
and of the community and to bring students from different ethic
groups and Bowdoin Community together. The festival will include
cultural performances from members of the international club and
other clubs, country display section (interesting stuff from around
the world), international food and the International Dance Party.
This event will also create a good relation and connection with
students from Bates and Colby and members of the Bowdoin Host
Family Program.
** The event is supported by Bowdoin College Fund for The Celebration
of Diversity and SAFC **
