Howell House Minutes, 9/9/01

..27 minutes, actually. Possibly the shortest meeting on record.

Recaps:
Milkshake Madness went swimmingly- and I can report that the
Strawberries and Whipped Cream midweek also went over well. Kudos to
those involved.
Phil's scavenger hunt...was dark, and contested, but thoughtfully done.
Congratulations to Karsten, Greg and Fuyumi, as well as Mr. Sharp for
masterminding the event.

Upcoming stuff (and lots of it):
Trips to the Animal Shelter will be running Fridays, leaving Howell
around 2:30. Contact Emily at eduffus for more details.
We're going applepicking this Saturday at twelve- sign up in Howell or
contact Ana at aconboy. If anyone has recipes for apple...products
(like pie, or more interesting ), try and dig them out before then.
The trip to the Common Ground Country fair is next Friday, leaving
Howell around two. There's still plenty of room, so sign up at the
House or contact Ana.
John's coordinating a trip to see the Blue Angels stunt pilots on the
23rd- more details to follow.
Common Good Day is Saturday the 22nd- everyone should have gotten sign-
up sheets in the mail. Should be a lot of fun, especially if the
weather holds.
That night: Nick Troy' Movie Marathon, starting around 6 or 7 and
continuing....and continuing...

Treasurer's report: the House has $6088.20, before costs for the
barbeque are figured in.
Thanks to the Sato sisters, we got an excellent deal on a receiver- it
even seemed to make Phil happy.
If anyone has any questions, ever, about batting cages, we have the
answers. Just ask.

Sorry for the lateness of the report-hope everyone is well. As always,
feel free to contact me with problems or concerns.
Cheers,
Lela
