Howell House Meeting 3/11/01  8pm

1. Election for Howell Renovation Committee
--our reps will be Emily Duffus and Justin Watras
2. Recaps
--midweek (Kid): 148 donuts + milk = "pretty good success"
--Augus King Dinner (Justin): Justin thinks that this was Howell's most successful week ever, not just because of the Angus King dinner, but great quality and quantity of events.  The dinner was really awesome, and the Gov wants to come back.  People gave feedback (and Steve did too).
--Animal Shelter (Emily): 8 people went this week, 2-4pm every Friday
--Notes and Folks (Kid): was a great success, Scott Steinberg was "amazing, spectacular", good turnout, thanks to those who helped
--Bowling trip (Christine): 10 people went, had a great time
--Spontaneous snowball fights: Colin and Owen beat Keegan and Matt (Keegan has it coming to him for throwing that snowball at the inside of Angelica)
3. Programming Chair Report:
--Howell Wood Squares (Quinn): should go off as planned, website is all set, waiting to get money, questions are set, working on inviting people to be in the squares
--Other Events and point people:
    -Campus wide capture the flag: Colin
    -RB Kegs on the Quad: Margaret and Nicole
    -Scavenger Hunt: Justin and Brendan
    -Shopping cart and suitcase relays: Todd, you aren't gettting out of this one
--Midweek this week?  Let's not have it because the house dinner is on Wednesday.
--Please sign up for the midweeks after break on Katie's door
--Quinn thanks to all those who went to Oxfam and didn't eat at the dining hall afterwards
4. Dollars and Cents:
--we have $1358.55
--if you have receipts, please get them to Liz by wed so she can get money taken care of before break.
5. Committee Updates:
--Notes N Folks: Janet Lynch will be here after break on April 6th; Stacy got 2 students from the music department and Prof Smith will be coming sometime
--Formal Dance: will be on Friday, April 20th
6. House Library:
--everyone vote for three books that they want
7. Open Forum
--Playstation from Howard disappeared over the summer, we have $250 to try to replace it.
--Prof David page is coming to dinner on Wed, he works on oil cleanups too
--Steve Rulison is cool because he tried to help
