1. Election of a new House Secretary: Christine
2. Recap of recent events:
    --Midweek (Emily): pizza in Hyde went well
    --The Dating Game: Jill did a great job hosting, people enjoyed the event, there was a good showing.
    --Animal Shelter (Stacy): went on friday, canceled sat and sun b/c no one signed up
    --Bad Movie Night: no one showed up
    --Co-sponsored dance at the Afro-Am: those who went said that there were not many people there, Howell provided soda and chips for the event
3. Programming Chairs Announcements/Updates:
    --Michael Kelsey--we are getting money from the A-Board and one of the classes
    --INFORMATION WEEK: for prospective house applicants (and our affs too)
        -Applications are available at the Res Life Office starting Feb 12th
        -Mon, Feb 12th: Bowling for all houses, e-mail Stacy (sbarron) to come
        -Wed, Feb 14th: Valentine's Day midweek and House Information Session
            --it's Stacy's birthday too, so come sign to her! :-)
        -Thurs, Feb 15th: Come watch "Must See TV" with us, treats provided
        -Fri, Feb 16th: Valentine's Day semi-formal for affs
        -Sat, Feb 17th: Snowtubing, late aft or early eve-about $10, e-mail Stacy (sbarron) to come
        -Sun, Feb 18th: PIZZA at the House meeting!
    --Sunday, Feb 18th, 3pmish: first Masque and Gown dramatic reading at Howell
    --Saturday, Feb 24th: new date for Scrabble (Brian-bcalabre)
    --Sunday, Feb 25th: Ski trip (Katie-khorsman)
    --Winter's Weekend: Mardi Gras theme this year, ideas for Howell's event? our programming chairs could use your suggestions (sbarron, khorsman, qkitchen)
    --Hollywood Squares: (Quinn)- Friday, April 13th, need lots of money, expect house input to be $1000 max--discussion on allocation of squares, should squares be sold? some people don't like that idea
4. Howell Logo: (Phil)
    --didn't mean to start a war, there has been lots of difference of opinion, one submission so far, Phil will wait through the month and continue to take submissions (psharp) and then re-evaluate the situation
5. Treasurer's Report: (Liz)
    --After subtracting the money for scrabble and bowling, we have $3318.85, that does not include costs coming up for Michael Kelsey
6. Committe Reports
Professor Dinners (Christine, Phil, Justin):
    --Prof McMahon coming this week, Thurs, Feb 15th--e-mail jwatras by Mon to come
    --Question of whether to have profs talk or read: decision to let profs decide
Notes and Folks (Kid):
    --Professors Shafner, Staples and Thompson will be here Friday, Feb 23rd at 3:30p
    --Working on Profs Levine and Naculich with Janet Lynch, for time span around Gov King dinner due to need for a piano
    --Talked to Prof Collings, who wants to come with Kidder Smith (in India til 3/7)--will consult then
    --Student band with Ethan Boulard a possibility
Semi-Formal campus wide (Lynn):
    --costs have been reevaluated, should be able to do for $300 range, still looking into cost for food, will present budget to be voted on at next meeting, still need to choose a date for event
7. Proctorial Minute (Justin): no comments
8. House Leadership Selection Committee (Emily):
    --Need to appoint member for committe for our house and another house
            --Howell: Christine
            --Another house: Brian
    --We need people to volunteer to help with group and individual interviews!! e-mail Emily (eduffus), all upperclass affs can help
9. House Forum (Owen):
    --Student Government is hosting a student forum to discuss the House System, please come to voice your thoughts: This Tuesday, 7:30pm Lancaster Lounge, MU
10. Open Forum:
    --Quinn: working on Melon $ for Les Miserables, dinner and discussion of historical accuracy, keep your eye out for e-mails!
    --Calender's in Hyde: we want them back
