We waited a long time for a real house. Three years seemed like an eternity, but this one is finally ours. The view from the front at the left. And at the right, the main stairwell.

At left is the Daniel Watersman True '17 Library. ADP kept a wood stove in the fireplace, and pieces of it can be seen in this picture. This room also continues to function as a TV lounge. At right is the living room, with its even larger fireplace and doors to the patio. The painting above the fireplace is not an original: a carefull look reveals that is is only a copy of another... and one of the subjects is walking on his head.

Some signs of previous residents: The crest at the top of the main stairs was painted by the ADP 1994 pledge class. The dragon graces the walls of our presently-closed kitchen.

I'm not sure where this one used to be; although I'm certain it was painted over. Certain aspects of the fraternity past are not so easily removed. At right, the chapter room door.

After that door (with 2 deadbolts and 3 locks total), is a small space, and a false door. Beyond that, ADP's decomissioned chapter room, hidden from the outside world for 75 years. The large desk has been removed, as have the decorations. We like to think of it as the spookiest basement on campus.

Other parts of the basement: Bowdoin's Best Bar. We might not use it much, but we challenge anybody to show us a better bar in use here today. The small room on the right is now our laundry room.

Finally, the back of the house. From here you can easily see the original structure and the major addition.
