Renovated over the course of the summer, Howell House reopened in August 2002.  The front of the building remains basically the same..
 

The back of the House, however, has a new addition - a secondary staircase.
 

There is also a new kitchen.
 

Other new additions include a new firewall and longer hallways.
 

New rooms were also added on the first floor where the old kitchen used to be.  There are also new facilities for handicapped residents into the TV lounge.
 

The Living Room also received some new lights.
