Baxter House Tutoring and Mentoring Program - The Baxter House Tutoring and Mentoring Program provides tutoring to students at Brunswick and Mt. Ararat High School. Bowdoin tutors are matched with students to provide about one hour of tutoring each week on campus.

Mission - We hope to assist Brunswick and Mt. Ararat High School students who wish assistance in their academic study, while acting as a mentor.

Volunteer Experience - Volunteers spend about an hour a week tutoring and choose any time that works for both the student and tutor. Space is reserved at Baxter House at least once a week, but students can also arrange to meet anywhere that works for them.

Membership - 40 active members.

History - The Baxter House Tutoring and Mentoring Program was originally run by Baxter Social House and later merged with the Community Service Department. Today students from across campus participate and the program is run by the Community Service Council with support from Baxter House.
