Bridging the Generations/Adopt a Grandparent - Bowdoin students visit a local assisted living facitlity. Each student is paired up with a grandparent, with whom they visit each week for an hour. Students partake in various activities with their grandparent ranging from talking to cooking to reading.

Mission - Provide companionship for elderly residents in the Brunswick community.

Volunteer Experience - No experience is necessary. The program is looking for volunteers who care about making an individual's day brighter.

Membership - Currently, there are about fifteen active members.

History - This organization started about 4 years ago when a Bowdoin student was asked to go read a lady her mail. After having a very good experience, the student started the program so that other grandparents could have weekly company.
