What is BCFS?Bowdoin College Finance Society is a student organization founded by George Schultz in February of 2005. BCFS aims to promote interest in the financial industry among Bowdoin students by providing learning resources and organizing events such as speakers, workshops and competitions. One subsection of BCFS, called Polar Bear Capital Management (PBCM), is a non-profit investment society that gives students an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning of investing. Furthermore, BCFS works in tandem with Bowdoin's Career Planning Center to help students find careers in finance. Term of the DayMarket Cap: A measure of the percieved worth of company.
