ANIMATRIX |
A follow-up to the first Matrix movie, this DVD is a collection of nine short animations, all canon, from the best in the business; even the people behind Cowboy Bebop got their hand into this. These shorts explore both the history behind the Matrix as well as the many aspects of its present, using everything from cutting edge 3D to moody film noir.Movie |
COWBOY BEBOP |
Few anime fans have not heard of this series, considered to be one of the best out there. Set in a future with a very retro feel to it, this series follows the adventures of a four-person team of bounty hunters over the course of a year. With great storylines and unforgettable characters, this one is unquestionably a must-see.In Library: Vol. 1-6 of 6, Eps. 1-26 of 26 |
SPIRITED AWAY |
The latest piece of work from the great Hayao Miyazaki, this film actually made a decent appearance in US movie theaters, and it is little wonder why. An excellently sculpted tale of a young girl who gets swept up in the workings of a strange and magical world, this is easily one of Miyazaki's best works to date. A truly great film.Movie |
TENCHI MUYO OVA |
Another classic series, and one popular enough to have three alternate-story TV series and three movies follow it up. This is the story of a boy named Tenchi who stumbles upon a sealed "demon" and releases her, only to find himself caught up in a confusing and often ridiculous series of events as a result. It has its share of cliches, but mostly because this is where they began.

TRIGUN |
A must see, if you haven't already. A show about Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon, a man with a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head, and everyone on the planet after him. Set in the future on a planet far, far away, this series mixes the Old West with science fiction for a truly unique story, one that is so different in the end than how it starts out that it's hard to believe it's the same series.
